Description
Discover new depths with a deep dive and learn how to master the skill of underwater navigation. This course, with a total of 5 dives, will improve your knowledge and skills as a diver and will give you the confidence to explore more of the underwater world. During this 2-day course, you will do the mandatory deep adventure dive and an underwater navigation dive combined with 3 other adventure dives of your choice.
If you would like to do a full specialty course after completing your Advanced Open Water Diver course, each adventure dive can be credited toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Course.
Academic
The Advanced Open Water Diver course is very practical with lots of diving and fun added on each adventure dive. It normally takes as little as 2 days to complete the course as it requires 5 adventure dives, 5 knowledge reviews and there is no final exam. You will only need to complete the knowledge review for each section and go through the theory with your instructor. Your instructor will help you plan the course and choose your dives from the long list of adventure dives.
Equipment
Your PADI Instructor will teach you the use of basic scuba equipment needed for an enjoyable and safe course, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, dive gauges, dive computer and a scuba diving cylinder.
Beyond basic scuba equipment, your instructor will also teach you some more advanced compass use and how to use any specialized gear needed for your chosen adventure dive. For example, you would obviously use a dive light for the Night Adventure Dive or a lift bag for search and recovery dive.
